Entertainment at the Rodeo
We're lining up some great stuff for the 3rd Annual Rodeo By
The River! We have bands to rock the event, stunt shows to thrill the crowds,
and lots of additional events to keep things moving. There'll never be a dull
moment, as you'll always be able to find something to see or do. In fact,
we're lining up so much activity you'll have to make choices!
On the music side, we've managed to sign a number of bands to play througout the
weekend. There'll be local bands and some imports. And -- are you ready
for this? -- Saturday night we'll rock the desert with an Evening of
Lynyrd Skynyrd, featuring
Skynnyn Lynnyrd.
If you haven't seen this band, you've been missing out!
Friday Night enjoy a tribute to CCR featuring
Bad Moon Rising, the nations premier CCR tribute
band. The lead singer has got to be John's vocal twin. Close your eyes
or look away, and you'll swear CCR has returned.
Sunday afternoon we've got a special event.
By popular demand, we've signed
Heartache Tonight. Not sure who they are?
You'll think you're seeing
The Eagles live in the desert. Visit their website and
give a listen, if you don't believe me. Again, the nation's
best Eagles tribute band. Ladies, you know you want to see them. Guys,
invite a lady!
Just signed
RickieJoLeen!
If you watched Nashville Star (the country version of American Idol) last year you
saw this up and coming singer.
Other bands signed include the warm, sexy, country
sounds of
Krisy Thompson Band,
the kicking guitar work of such as Matt Baker,
and Matt Farris and many more. Come for the bikes,
come for the chili, or come for the tunes!
There'll also be motorcycle stunts galore. Famed Hollywood Stunt Man
Monte Perlin
will be there to thrill the crowds with stunts you wouldn't think possible on a
motorcycle. Monte was Arnold Schwartzenegger's stunt double in Terminator
III, and was also in Seabiscuit, Point Blank, Con Air, and a bunch of other movies
I'd bet you've seen. He'll be performing his "Globe-O-Cross". That's
a whole series of stunts ranging from the Globe Of Death to wheelies and even climbing
over cars and obstacles with his bikes. You have to see this to believe it!
Keep watching this page! We'll be adding more information as we get the time.
We have other bands and other stunt acts in the line-up, along with things like
the Dunk Tank (there'll be a couple of special deals with this) and some stuff geared
just towards the kids (kid friendly during daylight hours, but no guarantee after
that).
