Register for the Cook Off
Potential cook teams, here's
the place to register! Download the registration form in either Microsoft
Word format (.doc) or as an Adobe PDF file (.pdf). Print it out, fill it out,
mail, fax or deliver it to us along with your payment and you'll be registered.
I'd set it up so you can do it online, but I need your initials on a few things,
so it has to be paper based.
Keep in mind, all cook teams are required to read and abide by the Mohave County
Health Department's rules, as stated in the booklet "Guidelines for operating a
temporary food booth." You can pick up a copy of this booklet at Desert Thunder
Customs or at the Health Department's office on College Ave (same building as the
courts), or by calling DTC Promotions, Inc. at 928-412-7112.
DTC Promotions, Inc. will be pulling the permit for the event, so you don't have
to worry about that section, but you WILL be responsible for the hand washing setup,
utensil washing setup and a food thermometer. Health officials WILL be on
hand keeping an eye on things. Read the rules, read the booklet. Keep
in mind, the washing station can be as simple as three buckets, and a gravity feed
container (like a cooler jug with a spigot). Violations
will result in immediate disqualification and expulsion (of the food) from the event
-- NO REFUNDS. Sorry to be like that, but since we're pulling the permit,
it's our butts on the line too.
